At Prestige Physiotherapy, we remain attuned of the situation’s evolution and wish to notify you that we are taking all necessary measures in order to prevent the propagation of the virus and to provide you with a healthy environment in our brand new facility. We have been working hard to prepare the facility visits to adhere to the COVID-19 infection control regulations under the Provincial Health Officer’s recommendations. Please take a moment to read through our policy prior to attending your appointment.
When you arrive at the clinic, please wait outside the clinic or in your vehicle until the time of your appointment. We ask that you arrive to the clinic alone unless you are under the age of 16 and require parent/guardian, or you would typically have an assistant with you for safety or mobility concerns. If someone is accompanying you to your appointment, please let our administrative personnel know in advance, so that they can ensure that additional forms are completed by these individuals.
Once you enter Prestige Physiotherapy Clinic, you must stop at the hand sanitizing station and sanitize your hands. Our reception personnel must observe you complete this task, so please ensure they are available and watching before continuing.
On the day of your appointment, we will require you to fill out a screening questionnaire (laminated paper) when you arrive to your appointment. This form ensures you are an appropriate candidate for in person care and you will not be able to receive treatment until the screening process is complete. The reception personnel will scan and upload this to your chart for the date of your appointment
All patients who enter Prestige Physiotherapy Clinic are required to be wearing a mask. We ask that you bring your own masks to your appointment. When you enter the clinic, please ensure that your mask is on. If you do not have your own mask, our front staff personnel will provide you with one for the duration of your appointment.
In addition to asking all of our patients to wait in the car for their appointment time, we have also limited access to chairs in our waiting room to ensure social distancing guidelines are practiced. Please avoid touching any surfaces and refrain from moving waiting room furniture.
We are asking our patients to use the washroom at home prior to leaving for your appointment. Our washrooms will not be available to the public except in the case of an emergency.
We will try to limit the use of paper exchange during the visit, including after your appointment. All the billing and payments will occur without direct contact with our reception personnel. You will be asked to tap your credit or debit card to pay for your appointment. You will then receive an electronic receipt via email. Your physiotherapist will also email or text your exercise program following your appointment
You will then proceed to the exit and sanitize your hands once more prior to exiting our facility. Disposable masks may be disposed of in the waste bin near the exit. Please be sure to sanitize your hands after removing your mask.
